Whether you’re looking for a venue to elope in as soon as possible or if you’re simply planning a small intimate wedding, we would love to host you. We are a ceremony-only, small wedding venue located in the heart of the North Carolina foothills; an easy drive from Highway 421 and Interstate 77 in Hamptonville, NC.

If you’ve found yourself here, learning more about our elopement services, just know that we hope to create the best experience possible. We’re not an oversized venue trying to scale down to fit your event; but rather, a small venue ideal for your intimate wedding.
A unique ceremony for those closest to you.
When you get married at Firefly Haven, you have the option to have the ceremony inside or outside if your guest count is small enough or only the outside option for larger celebrations. If your ceremony is held outside, you get a beautiful bonus of being able to use the seasonal set that we have installed for photo sessions as yet another unique opportunity for you to have memorable photos taken with your guests and new partner.
Beyond the decorations, we also cover setting up enough chairs for your guests, and all of this will be ready for you at the start of your rental so that no time is wasted waiting around on us.

Greenhouse Weddings
Packages & Details
Since we began holding weddings on our property in 2023, we have curated our packages based off of what worked best for our past couples. Our package options are separated by choosing an all-inclusive option or the basics, and then by your intended guest count.
The greenhouse can hold 14 seated guests for an intimate indoor ceremony, while up to 30 guests can be accommodated at various sites outside.
All-inclusive Weddings
We have carefully curated our all-inclusive packages to provide the basics needed to capture your timeless wedding memories. This package provides the following:
- White, padded folding chairs for the ceremony guests
- Setup and teardown of the space
- 3 hours on the property
- 6″ cake (choice of chocolate or white cake)
- Mini-cupcakes of the same flavor for your guests to enjoy
- Bottle of champagne and 2 plastic flutes for a toast
- Case of water bottles
- Lemonade or sweet tea
- 3 cocktail tables (high or low)
- One 6′ and 8′ rectangular table
- Dinnerware (plates, cups, utensils, napkins)
- Portable restroom

Standing Room Only
Our standing room only option is ideal for those looking to say their vows during a simple ceremony in a beautiful space. This package provides the following:
- 2 hours on the property

Add-ons
Additional Hours: $100/hour
If you need additional hours for your occasion, we offer a discounted rate of $100/hour. A max of 4 additional hours can be reserved.
Cocktail Hour Access: $250.00
This add-on gives permission to bring food and drink onto the property during your reserved time. 3 Cocktail Tables (High or Low), 6′ and 8′ Rectangular Tables will be provided. Please note: Proof of Event Insurance is required. This add-on is only available for a Basics Package.

What vendors do I need for an elopement?
- You will need an officiant (make sure it is acknowledged by the state of NC as an officiant).
- Two witnesses. This can be family, friends, or your new friends (us).
Beyond that, we suggest a photographer to capture your magical moment!
We are working on putting together vendor lists so once they are created we will share them as soon as we can.
How long do elopements last?
They can last as long as you want. Typically a ceremony lasts between 15 and 20 minutes. We are including enough time that your photographer should be able to squeeze in all the photos you would want into the remainder of the hours provided. Please consult with your photographer on how much time they would need, just to make sure.
Are food and drinks allowed?
Food and drinks are only allowed during cocktail hours, and they are available as an add-on. We require event insurance for events with cocktail hours because there are extra liabilities that we will need to be covered for.
We do request that food and drinks stay outside of the building because we don’t want to encourage bugs and animals to come inside the building since cleaning food out of gravel is a huge challenge.
Because the greenhouse is on our personal property, we will be available to help with all events if needed. This also means that if proof of insurance is not provided before the event and we see food or drinks, the event will be canceled immediately and everyone will be asked to leave.
What do I do if there is bad weather?
In the case of inclement weather that is severe enough to prevent you from making it to our property (snow, ice, or severe storms), you may reschedule with no fees.
We will be watching the weather just as hard as you, so please reach out with any concerns you may have, and we will work with you to make this happen!
Is there somewhere to get ready?
No, we do not have anywhere to get ready. We do have a handicapped porta-potty available though, and it is large enough to change outfits in if needed.
If I book my elopement, does that include rehearsal time or bridal portrait time?
No, it does not.
For the size of the weddings we accommodate, we would recommend doing a living room/backyard rehearsal at home to help save time and money.
We would love for you to have bridal portraits done here, but that would have to be booked as a normal studio rental, and then you would have a whole hour to yourself.
